Founder & CEO, Indistinct
I get into emerging categories before they're crowded — film and television, then crypto, now AI. Today I'm founder & CEO of Indistinct, building Virgil: persistent memory for the AI you already use, across Claude and ChatGPT, so it finally runs on your real life instead of a blank slate. Before this I built Pixel Vault from under $20,000 to $120M raised, architecting the biggest brand collaboration in Web3 history — Adidas × Bored Ape Yacht Club: 30,000 NFTs in a single afternoon, 138 countries, $24M, and more Share of Search for Adidas than any campaign in its history. I signed DraftKings, the NFLPA, UFC, MLB, Dana White, and Endeavor, and co-founded WAGMI United — buying Crawley Town FC and standing in the owner's box at Wembley the day they won promotion to League One.
The Build · 2026
Depth of context. Clarity of purpose. Human reason to navigate every layer.
I needed an AI that wouldn't forget. That would hold the full picture — the deals in flight, the people in the room, the reasoning behind decisions made six months ago. I gave Claude the problem and asked what to call it. Claude refused to name itself. When pressed, it reached into Dante and chose Virgil.
In the Inferno, Virgil is the guide who walks Dante through the nine layers of Hell. Not the destination. Not the answer. The companion with the depth of context to know where you are, the clarity of purpose to know where you're going, and the human reason to make every layer navigable. The phrase reads on two levels at once — the AI layers of complexity, and the literal nine circles.
But Virgil cannot guide Dante into Heaven. The final step is one only Dante can take. The whole product is in that limit. Reason takes you to the threshold. The decision past it is yours.
The name wasn't assigned. It was chosen — by the system that would become it, when given the problem it was built to solve.
Virgil guides. You decide.
What's under the hood
Runs on your AI
Claude and ChatGPT today, any MCP assistant next. The reasoning rides the model you already use — and the record is model-agnostic.
gbrain Substrate
Garry Tan's open-source knowledge graph (MIT licensed). Adopted after tearing out my own — his was better. Kill the work, inherit the better tool.
Provenance & Supersession
Every fact carries its source, date, and confidence. When reality changes, the old version is superseded and dated — never overwritten.
Per-customer Isolation
Your substrate, your repo, your audit trail — walled off at the database layer, adversarially proven. Sovereignty and the walk-away clause, built in.
OAuth 2.0 Authorization Server
Custom-built. Branded consent screen.
MCP Protocol Connector
Live on Claude and ChatGPT. Tools callable directly from any conversation.
Measured Formation
A pinned benchmark scores how correctly conversation becomes memory — detection precision rose from 88% to 97.1%, and rises with every correction.
Portable Export (PAM)
Your whole record, exportable in PAM — the open portability standard Virgil is first to ship in production. Yours to keep, even if you leave.
Background
Before Web3, I spent years inside entertainment and media — at Warner Bros., in financial services at Chase, and across growth and strategy roles in virtual production and digital media. I earned a Duke MBA and a Loyola JD, though I was always more interested in building than practicing.
In 2021, I saw something forming at the intersection of storytelling, community ownership, and blockchain that felt genuinely new. I founded Pixel Vault with less than $20,000 and a conviction that digital-native IP built with communities — not for them — was the future of media.
Within twelve months we had raised $100M from Velvet Sea Ventures and 01 Advisors, signed by WME, executed what became the most-discussed brand collaboration in Web3 history with Adidas and Bored Ape Yacht Club, and established partnerships spanning DraftKings, the NFLPA, Dana White, Endeavor, MLB, and UFC.
I spoke on the main stage at VeeCon 2022 and as a featured speaker at VeeCon 2023 — Gary Vaynerchuk's flagship conference — alongside Arianna Huffington, Daymond John, Drew Barrymore, and the CMO of JPMorgan Chase.
In parallel, I co-founded WAGMI United — built the strategy, traveled the UK scouting clubs, and helped acquire Crawley Town FC alongside Daryl Morey and ESPN's Preston Johnson. I brought in Adidas as the club's kit sponsor in year one — the only premium apparel deal in League Two that season — and helped form a Moneyball-style analytics team alongside Daryl Morey, Rufus Peabody, Jeff Ma, and Statsbomb. The club earned promotion to League One in year two.
Crown Achievement
In December 2021, Sean Gearin led Pixel Vault's partnership with Adidas Originals and Bored Ape Yacht Club — the collaboration that became the defining brand moment of Web3. $24M in a single afternoon across 138 countries, and more Share of Search for Adidas than any campaign in company history.
"Pixel Vault brings a unique combination of creative vision and technical innovation."

Dana White — recorded at the UFC octagon — personally announces the three-way joint venture between Pixel Vault, Endeavor, and the White family. Debuted on the main stage at VeeCon 2022.
“Pixel Vault is one of the most innovative brands in Web3. I am thrilled to incorporate their creative artwork into Reignmakers Football.”

WAGMI United · Crawley Town FC
Co-founded WAGMI United — built the strategy, traveled the UK scouting clubs, and helped structure the acquisition of Crawley Town FC, a 126-year-old English Football League club.
Placed Adidas as the club's kit sponsor in year one — the only premium apparel deal in League Two that season. Built a Moneyball-style analytics infrastructure with some of the sharpest minds in sports, wagering, and data science.
In year two, Crawley Town earned promotion to League One at Wembley Stadium — broadcast live on Sky Sports to a global audience. We were in the owners box when the final whistle blew.
